To Tell The Truth

I am amazed how much people can lie or tell lies.  Webster's dictionary defines a person who tells lies as a liar.  Strong word especially for those who tell little "white lies".  You know the lies that are so small that one think they should be overlooked....... Did you arrive to work on time?  How many coffee breaks do you take a day?  Do you pay your bills on time?  Do you forgive people easily?  Do you like people of other ethic backgrounds?  Lies, lies, lies...who cares?  Just because you tell half of the truth doesn't make you a whole liar, right?  The definition of the word, did not go into a long, drawn out definition...a liar is a person who tells lies.  That's the truth, the whole truth.  I'm scared of people who can tell a straight lie, with a straight face as if its the straight truth.  I believe people who lie has integrity issues.  If you are able to witness the lack there of from a person who lies openly. one can only image what the lack of integrity is producing in other areas of their life that we are not able to see.  If your inner circle contains people who "lie at the drop of a hat", perhaps you need to do a self examination.  Does the old saying "birds of a feather......" mean that you are who your friends are?
